Hey guys, I am looking for a shader to preview my assets in the max viewport while I edit the Mesh/UVs. The current ones dont look very good (Seam/Metallic) Issues. Are there any alternatives? I used to use Xoliul Shader but it no longer works. Ideally I want to get a normal preview which is identical to UE4/Marmoset. I have tried using HLSL/Stingray and also a Standard material with a normal bump applied but both give noticeable seams

For seams, I assume you mean with normal maps? A pic or two would really help.
I can't remember, but I think UE4 doesn't use the same tangent basis as 3ds Max, if true you don't get rid of seams in 3ds Max.
Tangent basis issues remain, but switching to maya style tangent basis in preferences will help to minimise the issues.

I disabled it and they are looking much better, Ill use the shader poopipe mentioned, It would be nice to use the Arnold render/material setup however im pretty sure 3dsmax doesnt have an activeshade/realtime arnold setup
