Nanu Interactive is a 6-year successful micro app-development studio that makes innovative 3D AR/VR Creativity Apps. We first invented the 3D Colouring Book with "Paint My Cat" in 2012, and we've been quietly at the forefront of the AR/3D creativity revolution ever since. We're looking for a part-time, contract artist to build production artwork for amazing new 2D/3D creativity concepts that target mobile devices, AR and VR. This is an on-demand role, initially 8-10hrs/week.
Previously, most of our own-label apps have had very low production quality (because we make our real money from white-labelled apps based on our technology, such as Disney Color and Play), but in 2018 we want to make our own-label apps shine too, so we're looking for someone with the artistic execution to make that happen.
The ideal candidate for this role would be capable of landing a junior Digital Artist position at a major AAA game studio. There, you'll spend the next two years of your life compositing sponsor logos onto soccer jerseys or applying rock textures. So, why not work with us and we'll give you the opportunity to have wide-ranging influence over UI, 2D assets, 3D assets, art direction, lighting and branding.
Examples of assets may need to produce include:
We work in Photoshop, Illustrator and Maya, and have a strong technical understanding of modifying, exporting and integrating assets from these packages, so can work with you to make sure your artwork shines in-app.
Over the last six years, every app we have built has been a banner App Store feature. We are responsible for top-grossing creativity apps including Disney Color and Play, Color By Disney, and many others. Publishers chose to work with us because they value our innovation and creativity, but this time we want YOU to help us produce a top-quality own label product with wow-factor artwork.
In most cases, we have already produced a wireframe / functional prototype. Your task is to produce mind-blowing production-ready assets. We'll work with you to make sure they shine in the app. You'll get the support you need to make your artistic vision shine, working in partnership with a veteran rendering engineer and former Technical Director of Need For Speed with experience building apps for the largest mobile publishers. Expect to be pushed for the highest in-app quality, but also expect that we'll work with you to remove technical barriers to achieving it.
