#OneWeek,OneWork A 2018 challenge

Hello everyone and happy new year. First i short introduction, I'm actually student in multimedia and I'm looking forward to join the video game industry. So I have decided to challenges myself by working on a 3D art every week, for a year. Every Sunday, I will post the final renders of my work on my Artstation page ( https://www.artstation.com/creastiff ) and the first come tomorrow. Second work for my  challenge. An old blacksmith sign, showing the way to the best forge for old weapons.

I think your renders showing off the models are a bit too dark, makes it hard to actually see the textures. Maybe try out a 3 point lighting system just to make them pop out from the background.

So, I'm not going to really comment on the props so far as I feel they need a lot of work.  What I am going to say is that I think you should drop the whole "one piece a week" process.  You are going to end up with 52 mediocre pieces that aren't going to help your folio at all.  I would rather you spend the whole year working on one or two props that look AMAZING than what you are doing now.

Quality rather than quantity, I will think about that, it should be the best to do. Thanks.

Following slosh advice, I'll stop the challenges now and focus on making assets with more time and freedom, after some reflection, I think it was a bad idea to start a challenges like this one. You can still come to my social media and folio to discover my incoming works as I will now try to make more complete and amazing arts. Thanks again to slosh for avoid me to heading for a fall.
