Anyone have experience with 3d scanning?

Hello, Does anyone have experience with 3d scanning? I have some sculpts/toys I'd like to have as a 3d model to animate. If there's some affordable prosumer equipment available you recommend? Or a company you can go to that will do it for you? Is the technology not there yet?
