I had a few ideas when I thought about this. I first wanted to make an Axolotl skin, but I couldn't come up with any good ideas more than the hair. I also like the "Blue dragon slug" and other colorful sea slugs and I wanted to make a skin out of that!
I am mainly a 2D artist but want to learn more about making characters in 3D so I thought this would be a fun challenge.
Here is my first three skin ideas and their inspiration.
I really like the second one's silhouette, but the colors are a bit flat and boring, and I really like the colors in the third one. So I will try and make a mashup of those two things and see where it takes me!
