I think the main thing not working right now first of all is the timing. The entrance and exit to the jump seem too similar.
Think like this, getting into the jump requires more power(Less frames) and getting out of it requires less power(More frames)
Next you need to find the value of keeping straight body parts. When the hands grab on to the block, they shouldent bend until the body catches up and the hands need to bend to contain the weight of the body. Right now you leave your arms somewhat constantly bent.
Also for the spine you could make stronger concave and convex poses. That'll help in getting a springy feeling.
Hi thanks for the notes very helpful. I had extended arms initally that did squish I just couldn't get it to feel right they looked like IK pop if that makes sense.
