[ RIOT CREATIVE CONTEST 2017 ] Character Art - Shyvana the Half Dragon

Hello everyone! My name is Chu Viet Anh. I am a 3D generalist from Vietnam. League is one of my favorite game though I suck pretty badly LOL. To me Shyvana is one of the most bad ass gal in the game, so I took this opportunity to make her a skin, also to challenge myself to do a full 3D character art. I don't think I would have the time to do her in both human and dragon form, so I would solely focus on her human form. 
Here is my mood board and some initial concept ideas. I will chose one and develop an in depth version with some color placements. Hope you guys like it !

So I decided to keep going with the first option, personally I think it would fit her back story and warrior badassery most! Here's an update of a more refined and colorized version. I also included some small breakdown for easier model tasks.

Haha Thanks guys! After a while considering, I think the first one would stand out most in term of Game POV. I'm currently working on her base model right now!

I was finally able to finish the low poly model, took me quite sometimes but I think I'm gonna keep moving to the next stage. I did this entirely in Maya, mostly because I wanted to control the shape and feel to match with the concept. The next thing's gonna be some quick detail scuplt, baking and texturing. I hope that I would be able to finish this on time. (only 1 month to go). Anyway CC and feedback are always appreciated!

By the way, i overdid her a bit but since this is a Fan art, I do not really want to restrict myself to tris count limit. Right now the entire model is around 15K triangles

Finished UVed her and baking some high poly details so far. I did some quick fixing and started drafting some gradient and shadows. This is the Ao map so far smile:

Texture's at about 80% guys! I will spend my free time of this week just to polish the remaining unfinished parts, then posing, post production for beauti shots, some 2D effects maybe LOL

Also, I changed the scheme and color placements a bit from the concept I did to make the entire model fit with the surrounding, and pop up some certain design. I tried putting her in the game scene context ti see how it goes

Finally it's here! I was able to wrap up the Character Art entry for Riot Creative Contest 2017. This is my take on creating a skin for Shyvana the Half Dragon. It was an exciting experience which I found really fun and learned a lot from it. Anyway, CC and feedback are highly appreciated! Hope you guys like it! Best of luck to all of you guys!
