Hello, this is my first post on the forums as well as the first time I tackled a character model. This was part of a University module I was worked on that introduced us to character modelling and programs like ZBrush and Substance Painter. It was certainly a learning experience but I am quite happy with the final outcome, hopefully I could get some feedback by posting my work.
The programs that I used include: ZBrush, Maya, Substance Painter and Marmoset Toolbag 3. The final outcome had to fall within 10-20k polys with my model coming in around 10k. If I was to do this again I would have created a more detailed game mesh for sure. The texture maps are a 1024 map for the face and a 2048 map for the rest of the body.
This was a lot of fun to work on and I certainly look forward to creating more characters, hopefully I'll be able to take part in the current Bi-Monthly Character Art Challenge!
