Sorry for the very broad question, but I would wish to ask what in your opinion is the best way to go for a high school student interested in 3d art.

BA from a "physical" university
An internet course
A course in an art/film school
Personal study
Studying 3d while pursuing a university degree in another subject

I'm aware that the most important thing for an artist is his portfolio, but with which of these options do you have the best experience?
