[RIOT CREATIVE CONTEST 2017] Character Art - Ziggs by Fábio Di Castro

Hey guys!

I've decided that for this challenge I'm going to recreate champion Ziggs by choosing a more childlike designer who reminds a child from 5 to 7 years. For this, I decided to apply elements such as the tricycle (with bike ring) and the wagon to carry the bombs. In addition, I will also include a lollipop and a teddy bear to give a more childish look. All referring to childhood.

For clothing I intend to use the reference of an icon of the horror films, Chucky. I really like this clothes and it's quite the look I want. An evil child ... haha
I also thought about doing it using a classic child propeller beanie / hat.

With this concept, I intend to include physical characteristics consistent with age, such as the lack of some baby tooth and use infant eyeglasses.

    Hi guys.

    I modeled these assets according to my initial idea for the contest. But talking to friends, a question arose and I would like your help. In your opinion, what would be the best choice for the game?

    A - The character would drive the tricycle and use the wagon adapted to carry the bombs.

    Or

    B - the character would walk and pull the wagon to carry the bombs. In this model the tricycle would not be used.

    Then, A or B?

    Hi guys.

    I finished these assets over the weekend, I'm not sure if I'll use them all in the final model. I decided to keep the wagon (option B ) to be used by the character to carry the bombs.


    I'm working on the high modeling of the character now. Soon put new pictures

    Man, this is sooo greatl! The missing tooth was very cool hahaha, congrats! What I may have to say is about his smile, at the moment I feel that the smile is a bit shy (or the teeth are very small), or maybe bring the teeth forward.. As you can see in his models in game the teeth is usaly more exposed. The overall it's getting good. Looking foward for the texturing :D

    Yeah, Why not? Thanks for the tip Yara. Just one question, as a child the anatomy of the jaw would be slightly different, a little smaller. Do you understand? But I will follow your tip and try to make the teeth a little bigger. Maybe seem a little crazier.

    Hi Guys,
     
    I would like to share my new step in the process of creating the character for the contest. At this stage I made the low poly version and UV. The final model with all the assets and character got a total of 6759 Tris and only a UV map. Now I´m working on the texture, I´ll show soon.

    Hi brothers.

    I finally finished my model for the contest. I really enjoyed all the steps and I learned a lot and now I can show the finished one. I think I got past the initial idea of ​​the Ziggs character in a more childlike version inspired by some movies like Chucky, Dennis the Manece and Problem Child. In the end, I really liked the result.
