the most recent thing I was working was this character design. I want to build up a process for making 3d reference for my work, since I enjoy painting and drawing a lot more when I have proper ref. the figure came from daz, the clothes from marvellous designer and rendered in blender.
I had a pretty hard time to begin with, but it has been promising enough that I am going to keep trying to be a cyberpunk norman rockwell.
Here are a couple more small personal projects I worked on since the last post. The screencaps for the scene in mission impossible didnt match up to what I had in mind. A simple pose in as was enough to bridge the gap between what I wanted and the ref I had from the movie.
slightly more ambitious, the over all design is mostly based on chapter two of the manga. I used a daz pose and made a vest with a bunch of clone layers in marvellous designer. the head set is just a box intersecting with the head. I used additional photo ref for the face angle\proportion and then stylised it.
I wanted to paint a character so I got my sister to use a DnD character builder This is an elf sorcerer from a draconic bloodline.
I made my self some reference using Daz MD and Blender

It came out heavier than I wanted, but oh well onwards and upwards.

I want to change things this year, like I do every year. So I am going to change how I change things this year.
