Vray scene too dark only when saved

Hi guys, trying to get back to small basic stuff as to not have too much to chew at once learning. So I made a simple scene with these little lanterns floating in the ocean. Ive been fiddling with the render settings and the camera and light settings a ton but I must be missing something because The top image is what my render window shows and the lower one is what it looks like when I save it out. Any ideas or something I can do to improve the scene?
