The top right conveys more personality, in my opinion.  The bottom left is high action and is a great image in itself. I think focusing on the personality first will help when deciding composition. I look forward to your updates!

@gyllenhaal : Thank you. i though of a star belt too but imo his outfit's gonna look a bit heavy so i removed it

@RockaFella @ALYBERIA : they were my favourite too. I thought the bottom left was abit tight and not possible to show his character so i chosed the top right. But then i colored it and it turned out looking like Soraka's splashart, I sketched a few more poses as below.
Imo I kinda like the second sketch so I tried more poses based on it   The color overall's gonna be like the failed one haha

top right is the best i think, because silhouette is interensting and portrait area silhouette is looks pure too - that is very important

So fabulous, I love it XD He really fits as a star guardian. But since the other star guardians have a star design somewhere on their outfit, shouldn't Taric also have that?

@Xeik: imo Taric is called "The shield of Valoran" when the new rework come out, even though he lost his shield. So I made Taric a star himself in this theme (maybe this is a bad excuse  )
current wip for now, the file is getting huge with all these effects 
hair is inspired by Houseki no Kuni
