3ds max 2018 | Extrude/bevel problem

I'm actually studying 3d and i have got some problems recently, one of these is actually really annoying, the fact is that when i try to extrude/bevel a face (in edit poly ofc) i can't drag with my mouse to use the extrude option on a poly. The most demonstrative word i know to explain this must be "jerky", i can't properly use it, it's being actualised every 2s when i drag the mouse. Nobody know how to fix it, it doesn't work even after a UI reset or constraint change... i would be glad if you success to it ^^. Thanks in advance guys.
