Going to be making this character for a private project called FREERIDE. Their name is Proto and though i have some concept drawings i still haven't 100% nailed down their details. I plan to use ZBrush, Marvelous Designer and Togogun to create a game-ready asset that can be used in Unity.
Made a straight-on concept drawing of my boy Proto, without the clothes, since I'll be adding most of that in Marvelous Designer later. Progress Shots... My friend pointed out that his arms were too short.
Jacket is looking good. Mind posting the sewing patterns in MD?
Lol my method was more or less to start by looking at 'puffy jacket pattern's on Google and just kind of building it from there. I Only made half the jacket for time reasons and then mirrored it in ZBrush. Sorry this pattern is pretty mangled haha. I swear it started off looking reasonable, then I shredded it to get the puffy bits.
BONUS: Proto is all surfaced now! (Eyeballs will be made with a Unity Asset I like heheh)
Is there a faster method to get that jacket puff without having to separate cut like that? I thought there was an internal line tool in MD that could handle that?
Even without the eyes, he kinda reminds me of 2D (if you're a Gorillaz fan you'll get this!).
Lol you're definitely not the first to see that. I love the Gorillaz so that makes me so happy ^_^ I've tossed Proto into Unity as a test and with eyes they do look very different haha.

That jacket looks straight fresh, though.
I was using something like the internal line tool? It's the method I found that works but if you find something faster please let me know. *o* And thanks!
have you ever ttired using the layer clone function? I use that a lot to get puffier clothing
Haha yeah it's pretty slapped together And ooh I'll definitely check that out
yeah its great, just right click in your 2D view, and then do Layer Clone , it will clone your pieces right on top of the existing, resimulate and export the clone layer! Its awesome

And it sews them automatically? *O* That would literally have saved me hours...

Just setting up the beginnings of the scene I plan to put Proto in for the Unity Neon Challenge which I just found out about ^_^
Details of that are here: https://blogs.unity3d.com/2017/12/01/neon-challenge-announcement/
Animation for the scene I have in mind is also underway.
Aaaaand We're done! I ended up using Proto in the Unity Neon Challenge that just completed.
