3ds Max 2018 - Numerous issues: Middle mouse not working, unable to select verts / disappearing mesh

Hello,
I've recently been experiencing horrendous issues with 3ds Max 2018.
These issues include:
- The middle mouse button failing to work, or receiving enormous lag when trying to pan the camera.
- Being unable to select edges, vertices, polys and the geometry fading and losing the edged faces view - clicking anywhere in the workspace will then cause the mesh to disappear from view.
These issues have only started to occur after the latest windows 10 update.
Has anyone experienced these issues, or have any suggestions as to how to fix this?
