I've just started playing with substance painter and have very quickly run into an issue baking maps. I've been following the youtube videos put up by allegorithmic but everything just works for them and I haven't run across mention of what my problem could be.
here are my meshes and settings.
My google searches havee come back with a few solutions that seem loosly related but their solutions don't change anything. Changing the Max Front and rear distances didn't change anything, Dialation didn't change anything. one even mentioned changing RGB16F to 32F which also gave no result. What am I missing? I also tried messing with the smoothing or non smoothing of the meshes, again to no result.

Can you try with XNormal or any other soft? It cans be your meshes or from substance.
Maybe your LP is a bit too big and go out your HP if you don't use a cage. You can try with one and see the result too.
I set my dilation up to 10, again with no change.
I tried to back the normals in zbrush, with the size fixed models, and got a result that showed all of the high poly edge lines on the map instead of the low poly edge lines.
Edit: Nevermind, saw that you've tried..
Also, which app did the models come from?
