Considering that most of the time to make details in a cylinder is better to model it flat, then bend it, lets say now that i have a cylinder (1) that already fit proportionaly in the rest of the model, then i want to make one more to go arround it, with details (2). But after bend and resize it, probably will not fit with the cylinder (1), and of course, if i would scale it would distort the details.
So, what are the strategies to make sure that you make the cylinder (2) match with the cylinder (1)?
Any ''tips and tricks'' will help, doesn't matter the program that you are using.

But then i realized that i can bend and stretch one plane without applaying the bend, to get the frist plane that will be used as a reference, as both of you mentioned.
Thank you guys!
