[RIOT CREATIVE CONTEST 2017] Character Art - Jager - Headhunter Varus

Hey Everyone, gonna add this contest to my long list of  in-progress projects
Back in the day, Varus was the first new character to be released when I started playing LoL.
So now it's time to fuse this nostalgia with a skin set I find really cool. The Headhunters!
I love working on really primal/tribal type designs or sleek/future techy stuff, so this project is gonna be tons of fun!!

Here's my rough concept: Still gotta flesh out some details on the pants, and figure out what kind of boot design I want to go with (it'll ultimately come down to what works/looks best in 3D) Bow might also might also need some tweaking to make sure it looks good when it splits apart.

Finally got some time to work on this.
Tweaked my base mesh around so it lines up with Varus' proportions. Fun Fact: Varus' non-bow arm is longer.
Did a first pass for the face. Let me know if anything stands out as really off for that.

I really dig the predator vibe you have going in the concept! Off to a good start with the sculpt too!

@gillmeister74 Thanks glad it's reading that way. There might be some more additions to the concept, but that'll all happen during the sculpt.

I really love the style of the character , the face mostly has such hard edges that give him that tough look ! he reminds me a little of the warrior in mulan wich i forgot his name , he has the same feature but more realistic ! keep going ! it's looking good so far !

Jageeer, I loved the ideia! And I think this skin theme really suits with the character, your concept is great too. The head sculpt is nice! Looking foward for it

@yararstss Thanks! I made sure to pick someone whose backstory aligned with being a hunter and Varus just so happens to be hunting down every last Noxian who messed with his people.

One more update to end the weekend.
Blocked out a few more parts. Next major pieces are those loose parts on the concept, so it's gonna be time to figure that out soon.
Might be a while before I post again (work stuff )

I actually decided to mess with the anatomy some more after I read that lol.
Haven't been able to give this guy too much of my time yet, but did a little anatomy refining and blocked out some more pieces.
Still messing around with the shape of the blades on his left arm; those still don't feel right imo.

This is looking really nice! I think the hands could really use some work though, right now they feel a little uniform and blobby, like they got smoothed a few times and lost their edge if that makes any sense.

Wow that's clean, I love it!
I like the predator's vibe
Not sure you have to keep those blades on his hands though...I think they're too small to be readable from a distance... But that's just maybe because I pictured predator's one that are much bigger

Hey man. Good progress. I would suggest to play with the proportions here and there. It looks like his waist a little bit too long. Anyway keep up the good work.
