Hey everybody! I'm a recently graduated sound designer lookin' to participate in this contest. Hopin to have some fun and record some cool sounds! Most of the foley and ambient sounds I have already recorded back in my school's foley room/outer areas, so I'm excited to put them to good use! I don't really have a schedule in mind to make this thing happen, but I'll post some work in progress shots along the way!

Picking up supplies at Lowes.
The janky mic setup.
My awesome foley artist posing with random pieces of cloth, metals and glasses!
Playing with some dry ice.
Some more fun with the ice with wine glasses with water!
I plan on recording some more things later today, so stay tuned!
The ice was definitely one of the best parts! Dry ice on metal definitely makes some wicked sounds when pitched down/slowed down, would definitely recommend trying it out!
Heres some more pictures from another recording session!
Recording some more dry ice on a drum cymbal.
A leafy destruction that led to some pretty gnarly crunches!
To finish off, here's a small update on the video. Made some really small polishes to some foley, and fixed the overbearingness of the rune/temple ambiance!

Sounds great already, especially the metal blades sounds!
Will be following your progress.
Cheers!
Sound design is definitely a fun time, and I would like to work for Riot sometime soon, so I'm givin this all I got!
Got distracted these past few days, so more progress will probably happen over the weekend.
Just to add another update, here's a little peek into my Pro Tools session!
I've got a 21:9 desktop monitor so it may be a little tricky to see, but I've got some pretty nice organizational skills goin' on.
If you want to see it zoomed in, just right click the image, open in new tab, and click the image to zoom!
Got everything color-coded and memory locations are customized to see only certain stems when I need to!
Hopefully, I can get the VO in the next few days!
Just a small update on whats goin' on. I've been cleaning around the house lately and managed to find some really nice chimey jingle bells and an old music box that plays only the main part of Silent Night. Going to have some fun sampling them to add to the project!
Also, my Garen mousepad is the coolest.
Updated Xayah's feather sfx. Put in sfx for Rakan's jump ability and updated his spin.

Thanks man! It was fun experimenting with different types of fabric to give the characters their own kind of traits!
Even if you're not in sound design, it might be kinda fun to just record some things around you at a high sample rate, and then put them into Audacity (a free audio editing program) and slowing them down! Its bound to produce some cool results.
Aside from that, most of everything you see happening in a movie or a tv show has been recorded in a sound studio to match what the actor is doing. It gets pretty intense as its literally acting as the character on-screen. It even goes as far as to re-record the actor's dialogue in a sound studio post-production (adr), such as the case of the Lord of the Rings trilogy where I believe everything that happens is foley and adr.
Foley is also a dangerous habit because it leads to a closet full of random objects that sound cool. I've got a pretty full closet because of that.
This is a pretty cool video that kind of explains it further:

Got an update with some voices finally added in! Hope y'all dig it.

I'm loving the feather related sounds, can't get enough of them!
Good luck!
