[RIOT CREATIVE CONTEST 2017] Character Art - Squirrel LULU

Hey guys! So i've decided to have a go at this competition as a very new artist! I'm glad I found this so soon so I have plenty of time to have a good go, as I shall be doing alot of learning along the way to help make my vision look viable!
My idea is to do Squirrel Lulu, i would love to do a Squirrel costume skin for her so I can embrace her amazing quotes!
I particularly would like to embrace 'Yep, that tasted Purple!' and 'That Squirrel looks familiar?'
The theme will embrace lots of purple, squirrels and acorns!
I jotted down some ideas on paper to start with and did a little reference idea to get all my ideas down. Here is what I have so far...I want her to have a BIG squirrel hat, this should be the main focus...I have a big image in my head and can't wait to try and bring it alive
