Question about musculature and modeling in T/A pose, game models

The way musculature (or clothing) sits when a person is in t-pose or a-pose is different than if the arms were sitting at the sides. For instance, the breast stretch out and appear more flattened with arms raised, and the muscles of the upper back kind of pinch towards the spine.

But since in game this pose would be so rare, for the animators sake, would you typically model the musculature or clothing as if the arms were lowered in a typical idle pose? Or do you just model things how they would appear in the T or A pose, and let the animator adjust things accordingly?

In most cases the person rigging wants the model handed to them in a symmetrical pose that is fairly close to the character's normal idle pose - usually this will be the A pose - and for the muscles to be modelled correctly for that pose.

If you're doing something that requires a huge range of movement or you are doing muscle sims then things change
