[Riot Art Contest 2017] - Katarina - Comic Style Splash Art!

I wanted to design my own Katarina splash art for this concert. I started with the rough sketches to find a pose and idea that I like. from there I will rework the pose till it fits, then I will Ink and color it and post the WIP here. Let me know what you guys think.

I will follow you guys back just let me know who you were ha ha I am probably gonna go with the 3rd pose since I had a design friend tell me the second seems too provocative with where his face is. so I might just rotate the random guys body to fix it.

I was inspired by Katarina's Lore and this is supposed to be from the night she got the iconic scare on her left eye. The night she decided to once and for all take down the Damacian General who had ravaged her people. This is my first time in this contest but I wish you all good luck! Cause I need it lol.

Hey I saw you added me on instagram and I followed you back! I haven't done too many contest so I feel pretty new too! Don't worry about comparing yourself to others your stuff is beautiful. We are all on this journey towards expressing ourselves artisticlly and as long as your striving to do better then your on your way! I look forward to more of your Nami!

Ok so I made a few changes since last time. First I adjusted the pose overall so anatomically it works better, then I flipped it around. The reasoning behind this is that you can’t see Katarina’s signature scar making her less iconic in the process so by Turing her you can now see it. Finished up my initial pass on Katarina now for Damacian Joe and the background.

Looks cool! Flipping it makes sense, the scar should be visible. I really liked the idea of her wiping her bloody nose after the fight, why did you reject it?

Because I still want you to see her face and you cant with her fist in it ha ha but I will do one like that for myself lol! probably post it on my instagram!
