This is just a WIP of what I have currently. Its not very far along as I am trying to get the skeleton of the effect all made. There still needs to be the attack itself and impact on the next sphere as well as work on the timing, anticipation and color.
The idea is to have the constellation follow a path to the other sphere and activate a shield at the moment. I'll see how that works.
Loving what I see from others so far!
Just playing with some colors to add depth - Let me know if it works.
Added some contrast to the values in the stars so they get darker toward the outside as well. Cheers
Still more to do in that area and the impact at the end is pretty placeholder at the moment.
I want to ask though. How to you create that 'flow down' effect? It looks gorgeous!
Hope this helps!
This may also be only me but I think the missile could be launched earlier? Right now it's kinda 'Constellation absorb' *0.1 second or dead air* 'Launch!'. My suggestion is the missile should launch as soon as the constellation collapsing midway or as soon as it starts collapsing, but it's subjective though, I think.
I'll look at the timing of the constellation firing as well. I'm sure it could be improved upon. Thx again!
Still, the diamond is on its way to its complete cut! Cheers to you woo woo!
How did you the smoke ad the end for the debuff? It's really smooth the way it flow ! circulat mesh / polar coordinate with uv pan maybe ?
@Pop2corn - Thanks! Yours is looking good so far as well! Fantastic timing. - The smoke at the end is a couple cylinders that are tapered on one end and have the ends masked out to hide them. Then yep, you guessed it just panning UVs and eroding the texture in the shader.
