Getting into lowpoly/midpoly models. Need an advice

Hello,
I used cryengine 3 years ago and that time people used to bake details from a highpoly model. Now I'm thinking about getting in to unreal engine and selling assets on the marketplace. My question is, do artist really use midpoly models instead baking details from a highpoly model nowadays? I have look at this youtube channel

All of his models are lowpoly/midpoly and usually don't bake details from a highpoly.  Is models like these worth selling on the marketplace? Thanks.

I'd say they would be worth selling.  People could just spend optimizing it more if they feel so inclined after buying.

My last studio bought a lot of online store assets that we ended up just further optimizing because they weren't quite where wanted them to be.
