I recently started with the blueprint system and try to follow up with some of the tutorials. I have a door animation (have to start somewhere) but i cant locate the play actor.
Time stamp to see that "play actor", so I don't need to watch the whole video? Man, you are not really helpful. So why do you expect people to help you?
Anyways, this isn't really a good approach. You would want to be able to place as many doors as you want without a need to set them up all. You would want a reusable blueprint with opening and closing embedded into it. Look up timeline animations in blueprints. Also, matinee only works in its own level.

i'm not very helpful? I'm new to blueprints and just trying out some tutorials. i got stuck because the "play actor" is not available. (prob changed name or something)
Just trying to make a simple open/close blueprint..
Its not even call play actor in the video XD It was just "play". And sadly it still exists so you should be able to find it. Again, this is a horrible practice though and you should rather try to make a reusable blueprint instead of doing stuff in the level blueprint which is unusable outside of its level.

i called it actor because like i said, i'm new to this, my bad. serieusly tho, you are acting little bit like a d*ck. thx.
Are you serious with this? I had one question which seemed not to be clear (my bad) but i prefer to get 0 reactions than someone being a wiseguy to someone who tries to figure out something. It's just sad. seen more helpful reactions to worst questions than mine.. thx mate
So, if you look around a little bit in this section and in the technical talk, you will notice that I help a big percent of people with their qestions or confusions, and we always get to the solution or to the answer that they need. You can also see that my attitude is different when question is being asked in a descriptive way, and the given artist also tries to solve the problem. Your thread title and original post didn't help with anything because it contains wrong information and doesn't even point to the sources. I need to pull out everything from you during multiple posts, to finally be able to see what do you want to actually do. I even checked it out the stuff for your questin in the version you are using. There is a reason for why I was trying to draw your attention to that something is a bad practice. I was trying to push you towards a correct way of doing this.
