Hi all. I have made material in Designer and I want to have access to one of the masks from Painter to make it layer mask. Is there any way to do it? Thank You.
If you're referring to smart masks, these are mesh adaptive and take information from baked normals, height, curvature, thickness and position maps, in combination with default grunges to build the mask. I don't think there's any way to export them, but you can replicate it with the Mask builder node in Designer, combining with the noises used in the smart mask.
If you just mean the procedurals/grunges, these should already be available to you in Designer.
Thank You for answer. I want to use custom masks from Designer in Painter. Not default masks, but my masks. There are no such features as Directional warp etc in Painter and many awesome tools in Designer? so I asked if there is possibility to get access to them somehow.
For example I have wearing mask for my material in designer and I want to use it in Painter to place decal with that mask.
You should be able to export the contents of the 2D viewer in Designer to a bitmap, so you can then import that into Painter. Sorry, was a little confused what you meant.

The process is quite well documented on the Allegorithmic site although naming of input nodes can be a bit weird
I dug the link out..
