Hey, I'm quite new to Zbrush, but I need a bit of help. As you can see in the picture, the pink shape at the back is a perfect square. I've resized the document to 1024x1024 and hit F whilst the square is selected. Not only is the square not filling the viewport, but the viewport isn't to scale! Why hasn't the document been resized to a square even though the axis are the same!?

Try hitting the 'Zoom Document' button on the right toolbar beside the Tool palette. Also, hide any subtools that are not the plane you are trying to frame, and then press Frame. Then bring back the subtools you want. Your document should completely frame your plane assuming all are square.

Basically, you're looking at a zoomed in view of your document that is currently only showing the portion of it that fits onto your available workspace. There is less than 1024 pixels of height available (but plenty of width), which is why the part of the document you can see doesn't look square.

Framing the mesh doesn't frame it to the document, but the view. So you'll have to take Shabba's advice to zoom the document out with Document: Zoom Doc (or just hit Ctrl+0 to show the document at 50%, thenframe the tool and hit 0 to show the document at 100% again)
