Hello. My name is Sargis. I'm a 3D artist with 3 years experience in 3D industry.
I've never posted works or progress in forums so this is my first attempt of sharing progress in forum. I think it will be good to listen from experienced and not only some advices and critiques while working on personal project.
For a long period I had no time to start personal project. I understood in order to improve skills you need to do something new or something more difficult. So I have decided to create sailing ship after watching <<Pirates of Caribbean>> series.
Now I'm working only on cannons. After finishing it I will start process of modeling ship. Here is two WIP renders (Rendered with V-Ray)
Modeling done in 3Ds max and ZBrush for sculpting woods.
Now I'm planning to create midpoly mesh for baking maps and then start texturing in Substance Painter.
By the way I'm recording all process, so after finishing this I will post on Youtube.
I would be happy to see any advices. Let's discuss.
I'm also want to improve my English
Thanks for attention

What do you think is it looks good ?
I've added some micro scratches and some more little dirt. As well wood material . I think it is done on 90%. But I think I must add something more. Any ideas ? What I can add?
And here we go. I uploaded on Sketchfab.
You can look some shots done with Marmoset toolbag in my Artstation:

C&C are welcome ! Thank you.
I'm not that sure with the wood, it looks a little bit to shiny from some angles, maybe some roughness variations would help here.
