Hey!
It's been a while since I've done a reel (2012!) but I finally managed to get some work together. This is a showcase of some of the animation work I did on "Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice". All animation and camera work is keyframed in Maya, rendered in Unreal Engine 4.
Hope you like it!

Looks amazing!
Do you hook it up in Unreal or is that more for a gameplay programmer to do?
@AGoodFella
Thanks! Generally I do hook things up in Unreal. This involves creating the animation blueprints and anim graphs, creating various conditions, bringing in the fbx files etc. At some point I usually need a coder to do extra fancy/efficient stuff but I can take it pretty far.
@LiamReynolds
Thank you! A lot of the jiggle stuff is animated, but there is some sneaky anim dynamic stuff in there (the creatures shoulders, for example) to get some micro jiggle and fake muscle simulation. It's the icing on the cake :-D
@LeeMeredith
Thanks! It really was a team effort and the rest of the team happen to be super talented, which helps make my stuff look good haha.

Thanks! It's definitely a unique experience, would be glad to hear what you think when you get round to it! (I'm in the same boat, my list of games is greater than the time I can spend on them :-D)
@Hito
Thank you! Oh cool, thanks for checking out my talk! It was my first time, so I'm glad you managed to get something from it :-) Yeah I animated the camera for a lot of it. It is only the evading anims that uses the generic gameplay camera.
@ajramsey28
Cheers! As with the above comment, thanks for checking out my talk! (Double thanks if you made it to the end :-D)
