Your material definitions could use a bit of love though. Some of them seem to just blend between each other too much. For example, his beard hair seems to have the same gloss value as the metal around it, and so it looks metallic rather than hairy.
The face could use a lot more color, some nice reds around the eyes and nose. Just some overall contrast work would help it really shine.
The detailing on the armour is great, but another pass on this will really help the whole thing stand out.
