I am trying to apply UDIM displacement texture map on my model but it applies it too strong and i have not found a way to tune it down. Do you know how to fix this?
Thank you all. I got is sorted with Houdini. I have both programs i tested out in Houdini and then in Maya. but some how i do like Houdini more. Here is my dagger atm:
Now need to learn more about shader building. I think that is important factor especially when i try to learn also other aspects of 3D. My end goal as always has been same. 1. Create model or element via Modeling or Sculpting 2. Retopo model if needed 3. Texture the model 4. Take model in to Houdini or Maya and build a shader so i can use it with my textures 5. Build VFX effect on top of the model having those textures also on model.
Later i have multiple options. 1. To take effect to Unreal Engine and use effects there or 2. Make just an animation or video clip out of it.
Goal is to be able to do more then just a still image render. Keyshot and Marmorset both are only to show off the model. And ofcourse as i understand there is difference between having keyshot snapshot pictures or having an actual model with textures that also has some type of VFX on it. Dream big try hard. This is my "progress" so far Started from last year end of September: https://tanel.artstation.com/

You could also use a setRange or remapHSV node after the texture if you need to fine tune or reset the middle value.
