Hello masters,
I'm modeling boots but I've made a big mistake. Now I need to flip PART of the shoe to create a left one without flipping the rest of the model (wrong zipper placement etc).

I have access to Mudbox but can find one on Zbrush so both softwares can be used. I can do it on hand by flipping the hole model and stitching parts but it's not a small work. Is there a way to do it with just selection-flip ?
I hope I explained it well :)
Thank you in advance!
Regards

if it doesnt match on the other side you have to stitch or weld it anyways by hand...

I was hoping for something simple like select and flip only part of the model, but my reading shows no way without topological symmetry :(

I'm not sure I completely understand, but couldnt you mask out and convert to polygroup the area you would like to mirror, the split by groups into a new subtool, and then use the Subtool Master > Mirror tool to have it mirrored to the opposite side?

If you need it to be integrated into the geo, and depending on what level of detail you're at, you could dynamesh it in with a high resolution and a low blur value.

    Hope this helps!
