want to join the inktober, got some questions

hi, I want to join the inktober challenges which I have seem some menber in this site participate, though I have some questions
is there a type of pen that I should buy? or I can use any pen as long as is ink? I mostly draw with pencil so dont have much practique with pens
my only camera is my cellphone camera, would that be enough to make decent photos of the drawings?
another semi off topic thing is that I was thinking of creating a instagram account where I could post both 2d and 3d works, though I alreay has a sketchfab account, so dont know if its worth it, was considering it since everyone seem to have a instagram account but dont know if its "usefull" per se, wanted to take advantage of the inktober thing to start the instagram thing
