Zbrush - Importing files from Maya

Hey guys,

So I'm looking to import files from Maya into Zbrush, and I've managed to do that. However, whenever I go to rotate the object, it starts to warp in some really odd ways. I'm just wondering what the issue is here and how I can avoid it.
Here's a screenshot of me attempting to rotate the object .The top section is normally circular, but for some reason it winds up pinching the object and dragging it outwards in the same direction rather than rotating the actual image.

    I havent had much expierience in Maya but stuff you could try:
    Delete model history in Maya for the model.
    Unify the model once it is imported. The size might be a problem.
    Cntrl Swipe a mask on the background to clear any possible or accidental masks on the model itself.
    The model part looks pretty basic. If your back is against the wall, just model the part in zbrush using the modelling brush. It should behave itself.

    This is a weird one!
