I used Zbrush for modeling, Maya for retopo, and Substance painter for all my texturing. If you have any questions feel free to leave a post below. Hope you enjoy them .
I really love the style of these and I'm interested that you used substance painter for the texturing. I've been reading about which tools to use in the future for stylized work once I feel ready to move away from just painting in Photoshop and most of what I read seemed to suggest using 3dcoat rather than substance.
Seeing this work though has made me think that it's better to try out both :P Thanks for sharing!
Thank you @Felixenfeu!. @aryarie Yeah I would recommend you try out both! I personally would use 3d coat if you are purely handpainting a diffuse texture similar to how league of legends does their art, but for characters that use more pbr style maps such as normals, gloss, roughness ect it is very hard to do that all in 3dcoat so I would recommend substance painter because you get to work on all the maps at once with a real time view. Here is a method I pulled from for substance. https://blog.sketchfab.com/art-spotlight-wizard-cat/.
I can say first hand these are awesome character models. My studio, SteamLabs had the pleasure of rigging and animating all of your characters for the game
