Hello!
Posting a piece I recently finished (about 3 weeks ago or so). Posting the images as well as brief explanations as to how I arrived at this.

Future work will include WIPs here on Polycount.

The Idea: I wanted to work with a simpler model so that I could jump back into Substance Painter and keep playing with materials. At the same time, I wanted to keep the theme of weapons and hard-surface with my next model. I thought of the Bouncing Betty!

The Issue: The only thing that bothered me about this idea, is that I did not want the object just floating in space. I've looked back at my previous models and while guns seem to keep an interesting silhouette, this specific mine did not.

The Solution: I decided to create instead, a small diorama of other objects as well. I wanted to created the box in which you would find this mine, as well as included copies of it in order to see the mine from different angles when I rendered. To add to the accuracy of the scene, I decided to also model a knife/sheath into it, as some soldiers would have to dig for the mines.
