Hay guys, so im having a problem which I have never had before in 3ds max, whenever I render using scanline, mental ray or anything else, it looks completely different as too what it is like in the viewport, iv tried many different things but cant seem to get it too look correct such as adding more geometry, averaging/unifying the normals, reset xform, changing the material and even reimporting the model into a new scene, i feel like iv changed a setting which needs to be reverted. The shadows seems to be inverted as to where they should be/ its rendering as if the whole mesh has no smoothing groups when they do. The funny thing is, whenever i rotate the mesh 90 degrees it appears to be fine, but if I rotate the camera with it it will look wrong again
