Suggestions/tips on Zbrush practising routines

Hey guys!
So I've been sticking around with zbrush 4r7 for 1 and a half year and I barely made up to 4 with 5 models. I learned some stuff by either playing around d with the software either or watching tutorials briefly. Do you have any suggestions or advice on how should I improve my practising routines?

I think that rather then playing around with the software it's a lot better to lock your goal and what you want to build.
If you just play around without direction you end up making stuff that you can easily make with your current knowledge of the software.
If you decide on a subject and stick with it you will encounter shapes that will challenge you and force you to learn new techniques.

Yeah but the thing is that vi don't really know how to use it effectively ...

then maybe go through a tutorial that teaches the basic, after that I would follow my advice above, and when ever you get stuck you just search for a solution to that specific problem.

Follow those and plan out a project and you'll be able to start using zbrush way more in your workflow.

I've really enjoyed the Pixologic twitch channel and it's video archives. Micheal Pavlovich runs some pretty popular zbrush tutorials outside of the channel too, but it's a cool place to start. www.twitch.tv/videos/122140364

I really enjoyed making rocks. For a few weeks I did a different rock sculpting tutorial from YouTube every day and it got me used to using ZBrush!

What might be a specific avenue is setting out to make difficult bits with weird shapes that you have a feeling you're gonna want later.

So every single item you make ends up in a bitz box you can access later through IMM Brush, etc.

@Ashervisalis that's what I did with torsos in mudbox and then in zbrush. I begun with  sphere , shaping them into basic shapes and then I was adding and subsatracting geometry until I got the desired outcome. I stopped that making though because I want to take a look at some tutorials and then sit down and dedicate myself for a great outcome. At the moment I barely find to do that , even though my laptop's broken,
