Hello my fellow artists and craftsmen and women.
In this topic i'll be sharing my process of making an Ak 47 rifle from scratch using 3DS max and Zbrush Bolean tools.
I'm doing this mainly to motivate myself and have track of my work.
Any suggestions and critique is appreciated.
For a start i blocked out some parts in max and my next step is to finish the buttstock in Zbrush.

Of course i've gathered references for each different part as well as assembly videos on youtube which was really helpful.
I thought i'll just go with the reference. but now that i think of it it'll be more professional to be exact in this kind of work.
I'll definitely check out this video and update my blockout to match the measurements.
I'll post an update in a couple of days.
Thanks again
The buttstock parts are done. I tried to stay true to the actual Ak47 when it comes to making cuts and holes.
