Hi! I've been a long time lurker on polycount but this is my first post - I was kind of nervous about posting my stuff up but figured that if I didn't get help my work would never get better, so here I am!
Recently I've been trying to study animal animation and have been working on blocking out a dog walk cycle. I feel really stuck because I know things are off but I'm having a hard time figuring out how to fix them.
Here's the syncsketch for the side view - I haven't touched the tail or much of the secondary action yet, as I'm mostly concerned with the main body and legs:

The back foot lifts up and as it gets close to the front leg, the front leg lifts up and moves forward. The back foot plants before the front as the front foot plants, the back leg lifts up off the ground and the pattern is repeated.
