[MD] - Can't change Sewing Line Type (Turned, flat)

Can you guys figure out what is wrong with this.
I'm trying to change the "Sewing Line Type" from "Turned" to "Flat". But MD for some reason is not allowing it.

Here is the full scenario.
I'm creating a fabric that needs to have both side. So after creating the first pattern I used "layer clone". It creates an instanced pattern with seams but with reversed normal.
Now I'm attaching a similar pattern over it for the wrinkling.

I don't know how to deal with this.

Shouldnt one of the piece be flipped ? Or it makes no difference ?

@Noors If you are referring to the main fabric. MD automatically flips the normal.
