Should of started this thread at the start of the project, but here I am! This is my piece I'm doing for the Art Station comp at the moment. Its based of the amazing concept by Sion Widjaja.
Did quite a bit over the weekend, was hoping to finish all the sculpting but didn't make it, still have another week allocated though!
Was fun figuring out how to do the padded button tufting in sculpt, was thinking about doing it in substance through texture but thats just no fun and not a challenge
Still a few pieces to finish including the VR headset, gun and holster, grenade, shoulder, and cape.
Hair is still just place holder as ill do it through hair cards.
As always crits are very welcome, I've only got this far because of them

done a bulk of the retopo. still have to finish off the cape, gun, and grenade.
heres a shot of the current wip with a quick bake test.
I can rest my hand now, so many clicks but its done.
Did some packing and some base map baking, normals, AO, curvature, and position for substance painter.
Are the UV's perfect? No, but in interest of time with the comp im moving on.
I think i'll end up with 1 map set for what you see, and a map set for the hair.
Here is my current topology, tri count, and AO map. Enjoy!
Working on the hair cards now, keeping the texture pretty flat to keep the stylized feel.
Still very WIP, and have to work out how I'm going to do the plait. Hair is just under 3k atm
Hope I'm hitting the feel of the concept in my own style.
Started texturing this weekend, trying to block out all the colors and roughness values. Been fun and challenging to get a nice stylized look.
Lots to fix and finish (looking at it now while posting this I see so many mistakes) but all crits welcome!
