Apologies if this is covered somewhere that I haven't dug up in my google / forum searches. Is there an easy way to update a .sbsar base material so that changes made in Substance Designer propagate to fill layers in Painter? Right now I've been using 'export .sbsar as previous' in designer then re-importing in painter and running the Resources Updater. This works OK except it leaves the old sbsar in the shelf with no indication of which is the newest version. I've also encountered some instances where the resources updater wants me to replace the current base material with an old one.
Thanks in advance for any guidance with this workflow.

What we want to do is update items in our shelf with new versions from disk. Eg. the same way you can reimport an asset in ue4.
Indeed it's a bit annoying to manage. We want to address this issue at one point but we don't have an ETA at the moment.
