Transfer of Copyright.

I'm having copyright transferred to me from Japan (I currently reside in the UK) for a 3D model, are there any good contract templates to use? I've heard many say that Japan doesn't have the same copyright laws and since I'm paying for this I don't want to be ripped off in the future as it could be a very costly mistake.

Anyone transferred copyright to another/vice versa?
Be interesting to hear how you got on, any issues, anything to be cautious of?

P.s. My project has a limited budget so hiring a legal professional isn't suitable funds wise. Just looking for advice. (Also all comments on all areas of copyright are welcome if you believe it could be useful.)

These two things directly contradict each other. At a minimum, you should try to get free advice from a legal person (although that may be hard to get), or you should assume that you won't end up with a legally binding agreement.
