RareFaction Interactive is building a team of experienced game artists for a 4-6 month job to create a fun and multisensory VR installation. The experience will be showcased at a festival and a major sporting event later this year as part of a high exposure marketing campaign. We are looking for a team of artists well versed in Unity and able to create both high fidelity and highly optimized art for 90 FPS on desktop / 60 FPS on mobile. The experience will be built for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, alongside parallel work on an optimized mobile port to Google Daydream and Samsung Gear VR.
The experience involves an action based game mechanic where players fight off stylized robotic enemies by throwing projectiles to blow them up, similar to the game SUPERHOT. The environments include a semi-realistic urban street that transitions to an underground sci-fi lair. The second half of the experience includes 6 semi-realistic and unique human enemies, and a giant monster final boss you fight in a sports stadium.
Roles
Game art development experience is required for all roles, with knowledge of standard game art pipeline practices for proper game modeling, texturing, animation, and exporting:
