Hi guys,
I want to stamp some normal map details on my model (for example, screws).
I also want to bake out flat color, so I can add these details to my ID map.
How do I stamp normal map details into the normal channel, while being able to use this in ID map later?
The brush will show the color (circle or no alpha) and not the normal map detail, so its difficult to align them to edge correctly, etc.
If I input the normal in both color and normal, I will get the correct shape in the ID map, but it wont be flat color.
Then later, I am to... crunch this in "levels" or what?
I feel like I am missing something obvious
EDIT: The obvious thing is using fill layers with height, and then instead stamp alphas into the mask?

I will do that, then
to archive what you want, I would recommend using a Filter on the Base color and using a Gradient where
the Second color is set to Off, also put within that Gradient the Mask position to 1 to force the gradient
to override everything to only use Color1.
