Bit of a novice question but looking at way of reducing render times. I have a dozen different custom materials each with high resolution 4K texture maps(albedo, normal, opacity, roughness, etc).
Was just wondering if substituting with low resolution maps would have any impact on my render times?

The only way to know in your particular case is to test it. Do a render with a lower rez copy of the texture and check out the full size result. Base your decision on what you find out by trying it out. Texture resolutions have an enormous impact on render time.
