Complete noob question. What did I press or turn on to get this to happen in my scene? I created a new scene and made this same object and didn't have this problem. It seems to only happen in orthographic views. Thanks.
It's a minor quirk in viewport 2.0, coupled with the relative thickness of that box and the slight angle. You can diminish this by selecting the camera and changing the far clip plane to a smaller value; this will affect the view when zoomed way out looking at larger objects, in which case you'll want to use a larger value.
