I'm working on a ship and ran into a situation where I hope to get some advice. I want to create panels in my ship but work on smaller parts. So I decided to break up the main blockout into chunks and re-topologize before working on it and adding details/panels, etc. Is this the best method to do this? I'm not getting the panel look that I'm aiming for, similar to whats below:
